Alejandro's was born from a vision to create more than just a gallery, it's a home for creativity, community, and expression. Inspired by years of creating art that celebrates life, identity, and emotion, I wanted to build a space where those values could live and breathe in Newcastle.
At Alejandro's, art isn't just something to look at it's something to experience. The gallery showcases bold, vibrant works that speak to the human journey, while the workshops invite people to create, heal, and connect through storytelling, culture, and expression.

ARPIL | BELONGING AND BECOMING
Becoming & Belonging is a group exhibition that explores the deeply personal and collective journeys of identity, growth, and connection.
Through a diverse range of works, artists reflect on who they are, where they’ve come from, and the spaces both physical and emotional where they feel they belong. Some works speak to transformation and self-discovery, while others hold stories of culture, memory, community, and home.
Together, the exhibition creates a conversation between artists and audience an invitation to pause, reflect, and consider our own paths of becoming.
This show is about the in-between.
The moments of uncertainty, growth, and change.
And the quiet, powerful realisation of where we are held.

Across May and June, the front of the gallery transforms into a vibrant, immersive solo exhibition a bold and expressive body of work that invites you in from the street and into a world of colour, texture, and story.
Blending upcycled materials with epoxy resin, this collection explores transformation, play, and the beauty of reimagining what already exists. Each piece carries its own energy layered, tactile, and full of life.
From statement wall works to prints, jewellery, and objects, the exhibition extends beyond the walls offering a range of pieces to collect, wear, and live with.
This is a space to pause, to feel, and to experience something unexpected.

June | Celebrate Pride at Alejandro's
WHERE WE BLOOM is a Pride exhibition celebrating identity, expression, and the beauty of becoming.
This June, the gallery transforms into a space where stories are shared, voices are amplified, and creativity is free to take up space. This exhibition is about honouring who we are, where we’ve come from, and the journeys that continue to shape us.
We’re inviting LGBTQIA+ artists and allies to submit work that reflects their truth — whether bold, soft, loud, vulnerable, or somewhere in between. From painting and photography to sculpture and digital work, all mediums are welcome.
This is more than an exhibition.
It’s a space to be seen.
To be felt.
To belong.
