The story behind the artwork

Stopping your demons from coming up and telling yourself you aren't worthy is hard. Well, you are. It has taken many years to learn to love myself. Somedays, I must remember to practice this, but many people should try at least.

Aristotle once said, "Happiness is the meaning and purpose of life, the whole aim and the end of human existence." Scientific studies have begun to reveal various physical health benefits surrounding happiness, including a more muscular immune system, stronger resilience in the face of stress, a stronger heart and less risk of cardiovascular disease, alongside quicker recovery times when overcoming illness or surgery. Even a body of research indicates that happiness may help us live longer.

We have a short time existing in life why don't we love ourself's if you don't love yourself, how the hell are you going to love somebody else?

Alejandro Lauren

I’m Alejandro Lauren, also known as Wayde Clarke. Alejandro is my alter ego a part of me that allows me to be loud and proud. I created them to break out of my comfort zone, to step into a space where I can truly shine, pushing past my own boundaries and embracing the fabulous person we all are.

My art is deeply tied to the human experience and emotion. I believe that the one thing that connects us all is how we navigate life’s challenges how we cope, manage, and share our stories. Through my work, I’ve learned to embrace vulnerability, sharing my own experiences and stories in the hope that others might see themselves reflected in my art. I want my work to help people connect, relate, and even heal, just as it has done for me.

Each piece is a journey of colour, emotion, and meaning, celebrating life, culture, and the power of human connection. I invite you to explore my art, and I hope it resonates with you on a personal level.

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope my work brings you as much healing and inspiration as it has brought me.
