The Chamaescilla corymbosa, or Blue Squill, is a native wildflower that blooms in the warmer months, painting the landscape with its delicate blue petals. These stunning flowers are not only a symbol of beauty but also represent growth, renewal, and resilience. Native to Australia, they thrive in harsh environments, reminding us that beauty and life can flourish even in the most unexpected places.
This artwork is inspired by the journey of rising through challenges and blossoming into your fullest potential. The Chamaescilla corymbosa is known to bloom after fires, symbolizing rebirth and strength. It teaches us that we, too, can rise from adversity, growing and blooming anew. I’m Alejandro Lauren, also known as Wayde Clarke. Alejandro is my alter ego—a part of me that allows me to be loud and proud. I created them to break out of my comfort zone, to step into a space where I can truly shine, pushing past my own boundaries and embracing the fabulous person we all are.

I want my work to help people connect, relate, and even heal, just as it has done for me.
