The story behind the artwork

Whoever said there could only be one star in town clearly hasn't met this bunch.

This Town Ain't Big Enough for All Our Crowns is a colourful, cheeky celebration of individuality, friendship and the beautiful chaos that happens when people are free to be exactly who they are.

With bold outfits, fabulous boots and crowns worn without hesitation, these cowbaes are here to remind us that confidence isn't a competition. Someone else's shine doesn't take away from yours, and there's certainly no need to dim your light to make somebody else feel brighter.

It's about finding your people. The ones who celebrate your weirdness, encourage your confidence and love you for everything that makes you different. No judgement, no expectations and absolutely no dress code.

Because being royalty isn't about standing above anyone else. It's about standing proudly beside one another, knowing that everyone deserves to feel seen, valued and celebrated.

This town might not be big enough for all our crowns, but darling, we'll make room.

Alejandro Lauren

I’m Alejandro Lauren, also known as Wayde Clarke. Alejandro is my alter ego a part of me that allows me to be loud and proud. I created them to break out of my comfort zone, to step into a space where I can truly shine, pushing past my own boundaries and embracing the fabulous person we all are.

My art is deeply tied to the human experience and emotion. I believe that the one thing that connects us all is how we navigate life’s challenges how we cope, manage, and share our stories. Through my work, I’ve learned to embrace vulnerability, sharing my own experiences and stories in the hope that others might see themselves reflected in my art. I want my work to help people connect, relate, and even heal, just as it has done for me.

Each piece is a journey of colour, emotion, and meaning, celebrating life, culture, and the power of human connection. I invite you to explore my art, and I hope it resonates with you on a personal level.

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope my work brings you as much healing and inspiration as it has brought me.
